Do you want children to eat vegetables? Are you looking for a tasty appetizer for an evening with friends? Try this quick and easy recipe
Ingredients:
beetroot
green beans
broccoli
potatoes
onions
zucchini
carrots
corn flour
Method:
wash and cut the vegetables into slices or strips, provided they are about half a centimeter thick and have a similar size to each other
put the corn flour, salted and flavored to taste, in a food bag together with the vegetables and shake. Alternatively put the flour in a bowl with the vegetables and mix so that all the vegetables are covered with flour
put in the pot with a little extra virgin olive oil, being careful not to overlap them
put in a preheated oven at 200° for 15-20 minutes
eat as soon as you take them out of the oven, they are certainly tastier and more crunchy
The dish is suitable for everyone, including those suffering from celiac disease, as cornmeal does not contain gluten. Hypertensive patients can avoid adding salt.
The ancients called Aloe “panacea of all evils”. Of course it does not cure them all. Aloe can cure some ills on its own, and it can help to solve an illness along with a drug.
The most famous aloe is Aloe Vera (Barbadensis) and is the one on which more scientific studies have put the stamp of natural medicine.
Personally when I can avoid prescribing drugs I do it willingly.
I often solve long-standing constipation with Aloe. But do not think that if you suffer from irritable bowel or diarrhea you can not benefit from it. Aloe is considered a systemic anti-inflammatory, but even more an anti-inflammatory that acts on the gastrointestinal tract. It has not only antidiarrheal or laxative power. In reality it is a regulator of intestinal function. Many people take it without suffering from specific intestinal disorders and benefit from it, they warn that their intestine works better and the alve is more regular.
Is your nightmare gastritis? Maybe the one that comes with every change of season? This plant can help you too. Obviously when we take natural or synthetic drugs (the chemicals produced totally in the laboratory) we must never forget to look for the reason for our disorder. Any alteration of the balance of our organism leads to symptoms. For gastritis we can blame excessive stress, smoking, an ulcer caused by too many drugs. For these disorders we can take Aloe, but we have to learn how to manage emotions differently, stop smoking and treat gastric ulcer following medical prescriptions.
The same solutions may be indicated for the irritable colon.
Aloe has many other benefits.
Strengthens the immune system. If associated with the right diet, you probably will not have to fight seasonal illness during the winter.
It helps maintain good mouth hygiene. As a result, it will help us avoid even some systemic infection.
It cleanses the body of toxins … wrong food, smoke and drugs fill us with substances harmful to our body.
Aloe contains many minerals and vitamins. It helps the body to absorb the nutrients that come with food.
It help fight depression … you will tell me no, I do not believe this. In fact I said help. Even a healthy diet helps fight depression.
Surely there are other benefits that we can draw from the Aloe, but we certainly must remember to be constant. Like all natural medicines, like sun, water and meditation, they must be “taken on” with constancy and therefore for long periods to see the benefits. We can not think that if today we drink five liters of water we should not try to drink two liters a day for a month.
Aloe helps us overcome many problems and solve some unpleasant situations, but we ourselves are the panacea of our ills.
Learn to cure yourselves with food, with sun, drinking water, with nature, and above all … I’ll tell you a secret … if we have all these precautions before getting sick we will have a greater effect on our organism and they will protect us from diseases. Do not wait to decide to do something. Take your life, your time, learn to have respect for your soul and your body when they are still healthy and you will see that drinking aloe will really make sense.
We often talk about meditation, but what is it? How can it improve your life? And how do you practice it?
We begin to understand the benefits of meditation in general and in particular in the elderly.
If you want to find out how to meditate, what meditation is and the benefits of meditation in general and especially in old age, you can watch this video (in Italian) or read the transcript below:
Meditation brings many benefits to your body. Modern science is studying them more and more and medicine applies them. I have seen that even in Italy it is applied to facilitate the treatment of pain in such a way as to take a little less pills.
It is also very powerful to prevent: it prevents stress, therefore all cardiovascular diseases.
According to a research conducted by YALE and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, those who meditate live longer. They also saw that mortality from cardiovascular disease is reduced by 33%. It certainly helps to reduce the level of stress which affects the health of the cardiovascular system, therefore difficulty in digestion, difficulty in falling asleep, difficulty in staying focused.
Obviously these problems expose us to all diseases, because stress affects the immune system.
So: meditation, helping to prevent stress, definitely helps to stay healthier. This is a general, generic benefit in addition to all the mental benefits.
Preventing everything helps a lot, obviously at all ages.
I’m also starting to convey it to children, obviously in a more playful way.
As you can understand meditation can also be great help for the elderly, especially because it helps them to stabilize the mood.
In general, they tend to be a little wiser, but in any case having an instrument that helps to stabilize this wisdom can be a further help.
When I think of old people, I do not think only of the elderly, but also of those who are going through a rather special period. Those who think more than before to ourself instead of focusing only on work. People who ask themselves more questions. This does not mean that they stop working, but maybe they just ask more questions.
I think of my mother, who was going to a university for seniors and she was still quite young.
For example, menopause makes women experience moments of emotional instability.
Meditation helps them cross that phase a little more steadily. I do not say that it stabilizes everything but for sure it helps to stay a little quieter, more stable, to have fewer moments up and down.
As you can see there are also physiological elements to consider. Among the various neurotransmitters that meditation helps to develop there is also the GABA, an element that helps to stabilize all the other neurotransmitters and to rebalance them. And this is already a benefit for menopause.
As you understand in people no longer young preventing states that expose us to cardiovascular disease is very useful.
Returning to the benefit I was exposing you before, wisdom, being able to be calmer, to look at life rather than doing is certainly useful.
I confess to you one thing: I started meditating when I saw my mother die.
First I saw my father die, stressed out of work. He regretted that his life was over and he had not lived it fully. This unfortunately is something that happens very often.
There is a nurse who has collected the testimonies of those who were dying and has made a top five of those that are the main reasons for regret. Many people regret not having lived their lives in full. First regrets was “I did not live the life I wanted, but what others expected from me”.
With meditation, and also with age-related wisdom, you begin to move a little more, to look at the essence of life and to enjoy more the affections, the things that matter. Instead of stay passive without ever putting the commitment to remembering to be present.
You’ll see how to do it is “easier” than to say ..
To start is even easier if you have an audio guide, it may be the best way to start, you can find one for free right on my site at this address:
Download it and try it yourself, you’ll see that over time you’ll discover a new life, it’s like finding out who you really are. I started late (I saw my mother meditating for so many years before I started), but I keep telling myself it’s never too late to savor the profound sense of why I came into the world.
I hope that you too can find in meditation an instrument to be more present, happier and to find that peace that does not change.
The opinions are discordant. Some pediatricians advise and practice during routine visits of forced discoveries of the glans (distal extremity of the penis). Others recommend to follow the
physiological development of the penis without discovering the tip with sharp maneuvers.
In the newborn, and sometimes even up to 6 years, there is a phimosis. Phimosis is when the tissue that covers the end of the penis (the foreskin) can not uncover it. This closure is absolutely physiological, that is normal and desired by nature. Probably because in this way the penis is more protected from infection (we think when our children fill the diaper with poop), or because his scrolling is useful a few years later in the reproductive act.
If you discover forcibly and with non-physiological movements the glans it creates pain and can lead to lacerations, even bleeding, that are resolved by the formation of scars that can shrink the urethral orifice with the formation of fibrosis in affected area. It is at this point, with the passing of years and continuing to do these maneuvers, that often you have to resort to surgery to cure what natural has become pathological. In fact, now the phimosis, no longer physiological, is due to a fibrous ring at the level of the foreskin that prevents it from slipping on the glans and causes a stagnation of urine that easily leads to infections.
The first approach is pharmacological, apply for about two months cortisone creams and if the
problem does not resolve you have to recur to surgery of circumcision, which consists in the excision and remodeling of the foreskin.
